Good question! You are not alone. Most people are familiar with newborn photos these days, but when you hear the term ‘sitter’ it might sound a little funny. Don’t worry, it’s simple. A sitter session is when photos are taken of a baby who has just learned to sit up. They likely can’t crawl yet, but aren’t stuck laying on their backs – so the pose options are increased 100x’s.
Here are a few examples of what I’m referring to:
Isn’t she just gorgeous!?!
Because there are so many options when it comes to photographing a baby that is now making wildly hilarious and super cute expressions and able to pose in number of different ways, it’s always important to chat prior to the sitter session in order to come up with a game plan.
During this time, we’ll talk about any ideas you’ve come up with and how to bring them to life. We will also throw around the basic items like favorite colors, backdrops, etc. so that I can provide you with a few additional options that you may not have considered.
When you arrive for the actual sitter session, you’ll know exactly what to expect and how I plan to accomplish our goals. Each of the sets will be prepared and ready for your little one to sit, lay, drool, and play on. Know that I take pride in choosing the best props for my clients and keep them all clean and cared for to ensure that your little one is safe and healthy.
I’d love to hear more about what you have envisioned for you little one’s sitter session and how we might be able to work together to achieve it. Feel free to reach out to me so we can set up a time to chat. Here’s my contact information:
