Melissa is an amazing photographer! She’s a very patient, caring individual. We had our session at this amazing location in Murrieta with an old rustic barn. She was fun, energetic and was great with the kids. She constantly reassured me we had a ton of good photos. When we saw the photos, both my husband and I cried like babies. They were BEAUTIFUL! The hardest part was narrowing down the photos because they were all wonderful.  I also bought christmas cards from her with the photos and everyone called to say that was the most beautiful christmas card they have ever seen. I can’t wait until our next session with her!

When you find an excellent photographer you stick with them. Melissa has captured so many lovely moments for our family and her art is placed throughout our home which causes me to pause daily and stare at my children as newborns while the real version gets ready for preschool or screams past me as a dinosaur chases them. She takes such care with each photo, selecting only the best. I love her use of natural light and she chooses the locations with the sun always in mind. For each of our three children’s newborn sessions she calmly swaddled them, rocked them and posed them for beautiful pictures. For each maternity session she showcased the belly and made me feel beautiful. Each session has given us wonderful family photos. She will put together packages for you and will even design Christmas cards and baby announcements which always illicit praise from the recipients. I can’t wait for our next family session and I’m looking forward to Melissa capturing my three kids as they grow.

I honestly can’t say enough positive things about Melissa! From start to finish, our experiences working with her have been nothing but enjoyable. She has done 3 newborn sessions and 1 family session for us, and she is an expert at making everyone look great and feel comfortable behind the camera. The photos are truly heirlooms and our family will treasure them for many, many years. Her in-home studio is beautiful and comfortable, not to mention her extensive collection of adorable accessories for your little ones to use during their session. Melissa is extremely professional but also has a way that makes you feel like family. The products she offers are gorgeous and I especially love the albums, canvases, and mini brag books. Melissa takes beautiful children and family photographs! We treasure the special moments she captured of our two girls when they were babies and toddlers as well as the current photos of them now eight and ten years old.

Melissa is one amazing photog!! Our first session with Melissa was when I was pregnant with my son. 7 years later with 2 more babies added to the family, Melissa has been our photographer ever since. She is amazing with babies, toddlers and children and always captures the the most adorable and precious moments of all my babies,(even when they were not acting so cute) she has great patience and knows how to work with the children to get the great pictures. Her studio is amazing and perfect for the sweet babies. She takes as long as the babies need to get the best shots! Her outfits and props are by far the cutest! Melissa has captured amazing family memories for our family, I am like kid on Christmas morning when her our order arrives at my door. I can’t wait to get the box open! We have used Melissa Lyn Photography on three separate occasions and would not hesitate at all going with her again for future photo sessions. Our first experience with her was our maternity session which was amazing.  Melissa makes you feel more than comfortable during your shoot and takes her time with you.  Melissa then did a newborn session for our twins. Before the shoot, we were skeptical to get quality photos of two 3 1/2 week old infants that just lay there with no expressions and eyes closed. We were wrong. Melissa came to our house for our convenience. She provided props and outfits and had great layouts and positions that made for the most amazing photos of our babies. The session never felt rushed. Melissa and her assistant spent the time needed to capture great moments.

Our next experience with Melissa was a family session. We wondered how our photo session would go with our twins now being 2 years old and also throwing two energetic dogs into the shoot. Melissa and her assistant made this experience as great as our first shoot. Props were provided to make each shot special and beautiful. She was very thorough and captured so many great moments. Even when our twins were “over it”, she took out candy, which brought the smiles out again.

During our photo shoots, Melissa had quality equipment with various camera lens’ for different shots. She also provided a heater for the newborn session, to keep our babies warm during their shoot. The quality of equipment can be seen in the quality of the photos. Every picture is very crisp and has great lighting. And she doesn’t stop there. The photo editing is amazing and all the colors look beautiful. We’ve had great experiences with Melissa Lyn Photography and look forward to her capturing future memories for us.

Melissa was a true pleasure to work with, not only did we receive EXCEPTIONALLY wonderful pictures from our session with her (we continually get the most compliments on her work when people see the photographs in our house), she made our session and time with her easy and fun.  With three little girls to manage, the investment involved, and the hopes for lovely images to be produced,  family photo sessions always stress me out.  But Melissa’s preparation, style,  and friendliness with the kids helped the session be stress-free and fun.  Even before meeting us she corresponded with me via email to learn more about my girls and what we hoped to get out of our session.  She thoughtfully and creatively suggested locations and arrangements for us during our session that resulted in fantastic shots.  I would be so happy to work with Melissa again on a family session and highly recommend her to anyone who would love to capture fun, creative, and memorable images of their family.

Melissa has been taking pictures of our family every year for the past 4 years. When our daughter Chloe was born, Melissa came to our house and was so professional and genuine. She really knew what she was doing, took her time and had plenty of patience. After having 3 kids, we have learned how truly important those qualities are when taking pictures of babies and kids. Every year now we do family pictures to capture our family and children as they grow and I can’t say enough how important and special it is to have these gorgeous pictures taken by Melissa. Our children have also grown to feel comfortable with her since we use her consistently, which is so helpful. The softness and editing of the final photos really stands out vs. the many other photographer choices out there.
