The start of a new year always brings a quiet sense of possibility.
After taking time to rest, reset, and be fully present with my own family, I’m back in the studio and looking ahead to another year of documenting the seasons that pass too quickly.
January is often when families begin to look forward – thinking about the year ahead, the milestones coming up, and how quickly their children seem to be growing. It’s a natural time to plan, to reflect, and to decide what moments you don’t want to let slip by.
Whether you’re expecting a baby, watching your little one reach new milestones, or hoping to continue your annual family portrait tradition, this is a beautiful time to get on the calendar. Planning early allows us to be intentional – about timing, wardrobe, artwork for your home, and how you want your family’s story preserved.
Many of the families I photograph have been coming back year after year. Their children walk into sessions comfortable and confident, knowing exactly what to expect. That familiarity makes the experience calmer, easier, and more meaningful – and it shows in the images.
This year, my focus remains the same: providing a thoughtful, full-service experience that allows busy families to slow down and enjoy the process, knowing their memories are being preserved with care.
